Associate Professor of Medical Science, Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

Overview

Dr. Ou serves as the Director of Informatics for the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine in the Care New England Health System, where her practice expertise centers on clinical informatics and women's oncologic pathology. As an award-winning educator, she is also actively involved with learning design and faculty development at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she serves as the Director of the Foundations Curriculum. After receiving MD and PhD (Neuroscience) degrees from Vanderbilt University, she completed residency and fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by subspeciality fellowship training at Brown/Women & Infants Hospital of RI. With her ongoing focus on real-world implementation strategies for healthcare technologies, she recently earned a master's degree in clinical informatics management (MMCi) from Duke University School of Medicine. Her research and collaborations span gynecologic oncology, machine learning-driven analytics, and user centered design.
