Overview

I am a Professor in the Departments of Behavioral & Social Sciences and Epidemiology and the Center for Health Promotion and Health Equity at Brown University School of Public Health in Providence, RI and Affiliated Faculty at The Fenway Institute, part of Fenway Health in Boston, MA. I also serve as Interim Chair in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences and am the Co-Director of the Development Core for the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR). My research includes identifying and understanding the underlying, multilevel risk factors for social inequities in HIV and substance use, and developing and implementing social and behavioral interventions to reduce risk among racial, sexual and gender minorities, adolescents and those in resource limited settings, both domestically and globally.
