I am an Internal Medicine physician and have worked in RI since 2002. My time is divided between caring for primary care patients, teaching medical students and residents and an administrative role as Medical Director of a Brown Medicine primary care practice. The use of the electronic medical record and the national push for quality based care has provided a motivation to develop data driven methods to improve the care of patients with chronic disease in the outpatient setting. My research interests include developing a patient registry and identifying specific needs within the Brown Medicine practice as the first step in developing evidence based improvements in primary care.
