Deborah L. Myers, MD, FACOG

Deborah L. Myers, MD, FACOG, is vice chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, director of the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Brown University, and a member of the active staff at Women & Infants Hospital. Dr. Myers is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook Medical School. Dr. Myers completed a medical-surgical internship at Rhode Island Hospital and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital. Dr. Myers is director of Continuing Medical Education at Women & Infants Hospital and chair of the Promotions Committee of the Department of Ob/Gyn at Brown University. She is past president of the American Urogynecologic Society. Dr. Myers was named the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) recipient of the National Association of Continence 2012 Rodney Appell Continence Care Champion Award. She is an oral examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the FDA advisory panel on Ob/Gyn medical devices. Dr. Myers achieved certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (FPMRS) by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). In 2016, Dr. Myers received the Distinguished Surgeons award from the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. Dr. Myers maintains a particular interest in the therapy of interstitial cystitis. Dr. Myers specializes in non-surgical and surgical approaches to pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence. She has been named a U.S. News Top Doctor and has been ranked among the top 1 percent in her specialty.
