Assistant Professor of Surgery, Clinician Educator

Overview

Kenneth Lynch, PhD, APRN is the Director for Surgical Education for the Brown General Surgery Residency Training Program. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery, Clinician Educator, at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Lynch is a Nurse Practitioner within the Department of Surgery at Brown/Rhode Island Hospital in the Division of Trauma and Critical Care. He obtained his PhD in Education with a specialization in Adult Education at the University of Rhode Island.   

As a faculty member of the Department of Surgery, he has had the opportunity to spend his career helping educate, train and mentor surgical residents at all levels.  As a researcher, much of his focus has included the assessment and evaluation of both the technical and non-technical skills of surgery trainees.
