Overview

Dr. Dushay came to the Brown faculty in 2003. He trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Boston's New England Deaconess Hospital where he remained on staff for 10 years. Before coming to Brown, he also was a staff physician at the UMASS-affiliated St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. His clinical responsibilities included attending on the Medical Intensive Care Unit and the Pulmonary Consult services at Rhode Island Hospital and the Miriam Hospital; directing the Pulmonary Fellows' Outpatient Clinic; and providing coverage for the ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) service up to April, 2017. He was the Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy and was a Medical Director for Critical Care of the New England Organ Bank.  He served as co-chair of the Rhode Island Hospital Organ Donation Advisory Committee.  He continues to serve as a member of the faculty of the American College of Chest Physicians Difficult Airway Management Simulation Training Course.  He participates annually as a lecturer and small group leader for the pulmonary section of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University Integrative Pulmonary Physiology and Pathophysiology course.
