Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine

Overview

Dr. Klein is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Klein supervises family medicine didactics for medical students, and also serves as a preceptor for medical students and family medicine residents at Brown. Dr. Klein serves as a provider at Compass Medical with a primary office in Easton, Massachusetts and as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Klein has been recognized both locally and nationally for his teaching, including the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching at Brown and the American Academy of Family Physicians/Pfizer Teacher Development Award. Dr. Klein graduated from the Brown Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME) with an AB in Ancient Studies in 1996 and an MD in 2000. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Since returning to Rhode Island in 2003, Dr. Klein has been continuously in private practice, originally with Hillside Family Medicine in Pawtucket, RI and currently with Compass Medical. Dr. Klein's clinical interests include family medicine, office based dermatologic and surgical procedures.
