Overview

Dr Dennehy is currently Professor of Pediatrics at Brown Medical School and Director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She is in the practice of academic medicine and is actively involved in teaching, research and clinical care. Her primary areas of research include: the epidemiology and etiology of viral gastroenteritis and viral respiratory disease, rotavirus disease and prevention, the testing of vaccines and immunobiologics for prevention of rotavirus, influenza and respiratory syncytial virus and the diagnosis and treatment of neonatal herpes and congenital CMV. She is a former member of the Collaborative Antiviral Study Group and the American Academy of Pediatrics "Redbook" Committee. She is Past-President of the Pediatrics Infectious Disease Society.
