Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Theresa A. Morgan, PhD, is currently the Assistant Directory of the Intensive Outpatient Program at South County Psychiatry. 

Dr. Morgan received her doctorate from the University of Iowa. Her predoctoral and postdoctoral training were both completed at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior.  She also maintains an affiliation with the University of Rhode Island, where she provides clinical supervision within the graduate school.

She is an active member of the Society for Research in Psychopathology, Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, Rhode Island Psychological Association, and the North American and International Societies for the Study of Personality Disorders, and has authored scientific publications on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of personality and mood disorders.  Her clinical interests include behavioral interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, effectiveness studies, and the etiology, structure, and treatment of personality pathology.
