Bryan Choi earned his MD at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2008, and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Brown University in 2012. He completed a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services, along with an MPH, at Brown in 2014. As an attending physician in Emergency Medicine, he covers the EDs at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and also staffs the Lifespan Pediatric and Adult Critical Care Transport (LifePACT) service. Besides providing patient care, teaching, and academic research in EMS, he is also a published author of science fiction and fantasy novels that have nothing to do with medicine.
