Cindy E. Klipfel Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

I have been a Pediatric Attending Pediatrician for almost 15 years and have been caring for newborns at Women and Infants Hospital for the last 8 years. My areas of interests include Newborn Medicine, Resident and Medical Student education and breastfeeding. During my time at Women and Infants Hospital I have worked on legislation to support universal testing of all pregnant mothers to receive HIV screening in an effort to reduce newborn transmission of HIV. I am currently working toward our hospital attaining "Baby Friendly" designation in the support of evidence based practices for feeding newborns. Prior to my time at Women and Infants Hospital I worked as a General Pediatrician and Emergency Room Pediatric Provider.
