I am currently a co-investigator in the Childhood Asthma Research Program (CARP). I have obtained individual grant funding from the Children’s Miracle Network to fund an observational study on the daily association between lung function and physical activity in individuals with cystic fibrosis.
As Associate Director of the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Program, I have focused my efforts on improving our center’s community involvement, educating on updated cystic fibrosis care and establishing hospital guidelines to improve the care of individuals with cystic fibrosis. In 2018 our Cystic Fibrosis Center received an Outstanding Partnership Award at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference for our improved commitment and involvement in the cystic fibrosis community. Additionally, I participate in the Rhode Island Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Chapter as a board member and in a national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation subcommittee on food insecurity.
