Dr. Wendell is a neurologist in the division of neurocritical care at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI and vice-chair of education for neurology and associate professor of neurology, neurosurgery and medical education at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is board-certified in neurology and neurocritical care. She co-directs the Clinical Neurosciences Clerkship (BioMed 5300), a combined neurology and psychiatry clerkship, and is the director of the Sub-Internship in Neurology (BioMed 3785) and Advanced Elective in Neurology (BioMed 3780).
Dr. Wendell graduated with honors from Rhodes College and received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center School of Medicine. She completed her internship in medicine and her residency in neurology at Rhode Island Hospital / Brown Medical School. She then completed fellowship training in neurocritical care at the University of Pennsylvania.
She is a member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Neurocritical Care Society, and the American Academy of Neurology. She has served as an ad hoc reviewer for Neurocritical Care.
