Maggie Kozel, MD joined the Division in November 2015 in the role of pediatrician for the HCH6 med/psych program. Maggie graduated Georgetown University School of Medicine, and did her postgraduate training with the U.S. Navy at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She was recently staff pediatrician at Wood River Health Services in Hope Valley, RI and school physician for Chariho and Exeter-West Greenwich school districts. She is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Pediatrics (pending) at Brown University. Maggie is a healthcare writer/advocate/blogger (Memoir: The Color of Atmosphere: One Doctor’s Journey in and out of Medicine, Chelsea Green Publishers, released March 2011 and National Silver Medal winner of the 2011 Independent Publishers Award for books on healthcare; The NYT Health blog, Huffington and Post, Kevin MD among others).
