Patrick Koo, M.D. is an Assistant Professor at Brown University in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He is a junior faculty member and is currently performing research using the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) and Jackson Heart Study (JHS) databases. His research interests are to investigate physiologic mechanisms and clinical presentations of obstructive sleep apnea and diaphragm dysfunction. His expertise lies in pulmonary diseases, physiology and mechanics of the respiratory system, and sleep-disordered breathing. He is currently completing a master's degree in clincial and translational research.
