Timothy P. Murphy Professor of Diagnostic Imaging

Timothy Murphy, MD, is the medical director of the Vascular Disease Research Center, and is a an interventional radiologist at Rhode Island Hospital and a professor, research track, in the department of diagnostic imaging at Brown Medical School.

Murphy completed the six-year Medical Education Program at Boston University, did his residency training in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in interventional radiology at Brown University, and is a past-president of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the largest society of interventional radiology worldwide. He has helped secure commitments for over $35 million in total National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding for clinical trials in vascular disease.
