Alexandre Gaillard is an Assistant Professor in Economics at Brown University. His work is centered around Macroeconomics and International Trade. In the former field he has worked on the interaction between microeconomic heterogeneity and macroeconomic outcomes to study the causes and consequences of inequality and taxation. In the latter field his research has focused on the role of markups in generating a strong relationship between GDP/TFP cross-country correlations and international trade. Alexandre Gaillard received his Ph.D. in Economics from Toulouse School of Economics and has spent one year as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the JRCPPF at Princeton University.
