Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine

Overview

Dr. Kamat attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. He went on to complete a one year medicine internship at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Following his internship, he completed his Emergency Medicine residency at SUNY Stony Brook.

 

Dr. Kamat moved to Providence seventeen years ago where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, and works within The Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

 

Dr. Kamat’s professional interests include National ACEP, RI ACEP, and Residency Education. 

 

His personal interests include travel, baseball, and cooking.
