Overview

Andrew R. Luhrs, MD is a bariatric surgeon and an assistant professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He specializes in general surgery with a focus on weight loss, foregut, and hernia surgery. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University and his minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Luhrs' research interests include outcomes after revisional bariatric surgery and socioeconomic disparities in health care.
