Anthony Napoli MD EMHL is a pracitcing emergency physician and member of the Warren Alpert School of Medicine and Department of of Emergency Medicine. He is medical director of the Newport Emergency Department.
He graduated from University of Pennsylvania summa cum laude with a B.S.E. in Bioengineering in 1998. He attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and graduated in 2002 before pursuing a residency in Emergency Medicine at Brown University. He subsequently graduated from the Brown University School of Professional Studies with an Executive Master in Healthcare Leadership.
He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Since joining the department he has been actively involved in translational research and guideline implementation in such areas as noinvasive measures of fluid responsiveness in sepsis patients, management of the post-cardiac arrest patient, chest pain and acute cardiovascular disease, and emergency department clinical decision units.
