Overview

Dr. Ben Brown is the Mimi Pichey Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School, and Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy, and Practice, Clinician Educator at the School of Public Health, Brown University. He is Chief of the Section of Complex Family Planning, and an attending physician in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. Dr. Brown is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in complex family planning.

Dr. Brown’s clinical interests include high-acuity obstetrics, complex abortion and contraception care, and management of early pregnancy complications and ectopic gestation. He enjoys mentoring medical students and residents, and has expertise in statistics and clinical medical ethics. His research focuses on family planning policy analysis using quantitative methods and an ethics lens. Dr. Brown speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
