Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Dr. Corinne Bart is a licensed clinical psychologist working in the Collaborative Addiction Recovery Services (CARS) at the Providence VA. Dr. Bart received her PhD in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuroscience from Temple Unversity in 2021. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in the treatment of co-occurring substance use and mood disorders, after which she accepted a staff position at the Providence VA in the CARS clinic. She has a clinical appointment within Brown's Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and supervises adult track psychology residents in the CARS rotation and serves as the admissions coordinator for Brown's Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral fellowship program. She has clinical expertise in the treatment of substance use and co-occurring disorders using an array of evidence-based practices including ACT and CBT-SUD. Her research has focused on understanding the neural reward mechanisms underlying mood and substance use disorder co-occurrence.
