Overview

Alex Brake, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist at the Adult Partial Hospital Program at Rhode Island Hospital. He earned his Master’s degree in psychology at Boston University and his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He also completed internship and postdoctoral fellowship years in the Brown Clinical Psychology Training Consortium.

Dr. Brake’s clinical work focuses on the assessment and treatment of trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, as well as anxiety, mood, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.

His research interests include emotional and mindfulness-based processes in the context of trauma-related symptoms and treatment.
