Dr. Elco is Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Dermatology, at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University.  He received his B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University in New Haven CT, and his M.D. and Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland OH. He is board-certified in anatomic pathology, dermatopathology and hematopathology, and studies prognostic markers in cutaneous T cell lymphomas utilizing next generation sequencing, and the effects of Toll-Like Receptors on tumor pathogenesis in melanoma and other cancers.  His work has been funded by the NIH and private foundations.
