Corey E. Ventetuolo Assistant Professor of Medicine, Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice

Corey E. Ventetuolo, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Health Services, Policy, and Practice at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a member of the Pulmonary,Critical Care and Sleep division at Rhode Island Hospital. She is the Associate Director of the Rhode Island Hospital Pulmonary Hypertension Center and Director of the Adult Extracorporeal Life Support Program. Her work focuses on genetic and molecular markers in sex hormone pathways and their influence on right ventricular function in health and disease as a means to understand sexual dimorphism in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). She is also interested in defining novel precursors to disease and surrogates for clinical outcomes in order to improve early diagnosis and quality of care for patients with pulmonary vascular disease. Dr. Ventetuolo is support ed by the American Heart Association and the National Institutes of Health as the Principal Investigator for Project 5 of the CardioPulmonary Vascular Biology Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (P20 GM103652).
