Overview

Corey E. Ventetuolo, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Health Services, Policy, and Practice at Brown University and a member of the Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep division at Rhode Island Hospital. She is the Associate Director of the Rhode Island Hospital Pulmonary Hypertension Center, Director of the Adult Extracorporeal Life Support Program, and Director of Clinical Research for the Pulmonary Division at Rhode Island Hospital. Her work focuses on genetic and molecular mechanisms in sex hormone signaling and metabolism as a means for understanding sexual dimorphism in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and right ventricular function in health and disease. She is also interested in defining novel precursors to disease and surrogates for clinical outcomes in order to improve early diagnosis and quality of care for patients with pulmonary vascular disease. Dr. Ventetuolo is supported by the American Heart Association and the National Institutes of Health as the Principal Investigator for Project 5 of the CardioPulmonary Vascular Biology Center of Biomedical Research Excellence.
