Diane served as Director of both the midwifery practice and educational programs at LA CountyUSC for five years as well as the Director of Midwifery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in her role as Nursing Administrator. She was Interim Director for the University of RI Nurse Midwifery Educational Program from 19931994. She has edited two books and published numerous articles. She is Senior Editor for the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing and Associate Editor, Journal Watch Women's Health Journal. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health and served as Educational Consultant for the same journal from 1998-2007. She is recertified as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC). She was elected a Fellow to both the American College of Nurse Midwives and the American Academy of Nursing.
