Senior Research Scientist of Epidemiology

Overview

Dr. Meyer is a Distinguished Senior Research Scientist at the Brown University Pandemic Center. Her primary research interests include global health security policy, building resilient health systems, and improving domestic and international outbreak response. 

Dr. Meyer completed her PhD at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, where she studied the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on health service utilization in Baltimore and was the recipient of a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral National Research Service Award. In 2016, she received an MPH with a concentration in infectious diseases from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also has a BA in biology from Carroll College and a BSN from Georgetown University. She is a former burn and trauma intensive care nurse.
