Dr. Stachurski is on the faculty of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He services as System Director of Brown University Health Clinical Laboratories and as Chairman of Pathology Department and Clinical Laboratory at Newport Hospital. He is a Staff Surgical Pathologist and Hematopathologist for Brown University Health System and Laboratory Medical Director at Eleanor Slater Hospital. Dr. Stachurski obtained his BA in Zoology and Premedicine at George Washington University, and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Massachusetts, a Fellowship in Hematopathology at University of Massachusetts, and the Don Singer Fellowship in Perinatal and Pediatric Pathology at Brown University. He has particular interests in myelodysplastic syndromes, benign hematology and transfusion medicine, general hematopathology, and clinical laboratory operations, quality management, laboratory utilization, and laboratory leadership.
