Overview

Daryl Selen, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  Dr. Selen studied Neuroscience at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA, and received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine.  She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University in Providence, RI where she obtained additional expertise in women’s health through the Women’s Health Track.  Dr. Selen completed her fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University in Boston, MA.  While in fellowship, she pursued specialized training in women’s endocrine disorders including diabetes in pregnancy, gestational diabetes, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

 

Dr. Selen specializes in women’s endocrine disorders:  diabetes in pregnancy, gestational diabetes, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.  She also provides preconception counseling for women of reproductive age with endocrine disorders, management of hormonal contraception for PCOS, and menopausal hormonal therapy.
