Overview

Elizabeth R. Didie, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist who completed a clinical research fellowship at Butler Hospital and Brown University. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2003, and completed her internship and clinical fellowship at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago.

Dr. Didie's clinical and research background is in disorders of body image—specifically body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), bulimia, binge eating disorder and bulimia. Her current clinical and research focus includes developing psychosocial treatments for BDD, interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral therapies for BDD, and understanding the interface between eating disorders and BDD. Her private practice specializes in the use of empirically focused treatments for eating disoders, BDD, OCD and anxiety disorders.
