Dr. Eric Walsh is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a certificate of added qualification for Surgery of the Hand, specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery practicing in Rhode Island.
He graduated from Hamilton College in 1989 with a BA in Biology. He then served as a Marine Corps Officer and Naval Aviator from 1989-1996.
He entered Dartmouth Medical School in 1996 and completed the Dartmouth/Brown Medical Program in 2000, graduating from Brown Medical School with Academic Excellence. From 2000-2005, Dr. Walsh was a General Surgery Intern, Orthopedic Resident, and Orthopedic Chief Resident at Rhode Island Hospital as part of the Warren Alpert Brown School of Medicine. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Adult and Pediatric Trauma at Rhode Island Hospital from 2005-2006. He then was selected for the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
He presently practices as a partner and attending surgeon in OrthoRi with offices located in Providence, Warwick, Bristol, and East Providence.
Dr. Walsh lives in Barrington, RI and is married to Caroline Earle Walsh and they have two children, Emily and Ethan.
