Associate Professor of Medicine

Overview

I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.  At the Providence VA Medical Center, I serve as the director of the pulmonary function laboratory and the cardio-pulmonary exercise testing laboratory, I am director of the ICU, and I am the site director for the pulmonary and critical care fellowship.  At the Medical School, for 7 years I served as co-director of the pulmonary pathophysiology course for second-year students, and I continue to lecture and teach extensively in the course.  My interests are in respiratory physiology, pulmonary function and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, medical education, and lung cancer screening implementation.
