Dr. Yakirevich is Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University, and Staff Pathologist for Lifespan Academic Medical Center.  Dr. Yakirevich obtained his MD from Vitebsk State Medical University in Belarus, and his DSc in Medical Sciences from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.  He completed his residency in pathology at Brown University, and is board-certified in anatomic and clinical (AP/CP) pathology.  He completed his fellowship in GI Pathology at Brown University.  Dr. Yakirevich's research interests are in the relationships between molecular markers, including mutations, RNA expression profiles, and protein markers, and the clinical phenotype and long-term outcomes in cancer.
