Dr. Pingitore is the Clinical Director of the Division of Pediatric Med/Psych at Hasbro Children's Hospital. She received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, her master’s degree from the University of San Francisco and her PhD from the University of Rhode Island. She started her career more than 30 years ago in child and adolescent psychiatric nursing. She has worked in a variety of settings throughout her career including inpatient, outpatient and partial hospital programs, conducting individual, family and group psychotherapy. Currently, Dr. Pingitore practices at Hasbro Children’s Hospital where she maintains an active group psychotherapy practice in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to this role, she serves as a clincal supervisor and mentor across the system. Dr. Pingitore is also the lead member of the Crisis Response Team at Hasbro and is frequently called upon to provide psychological debriefings and interventions to colleagues related to difficult and traumatic events in the workplace. Dr. Pingitore holds an ANCC Board Certification as a Child and Adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialist with prescriptive privileges and is certified in Group Psychotherapy and Disaster Mental Health. Her research interests include interpersonal group psychotherapy with adolescents and group work with multidisciplinary colleagues. She is recognized nationally, often presenting on the topics of adolescent group psychotherapy, secondary trauma and pediatric psychiatric illness and practice.
