Assistant Professor of Medicine, Clinician Educator

Overview

Dr Jasmin Lebastchi, MD, joined the Brown faculty in 2019 as assistant professor of medicine in the division of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. After receiving her MD from the University of Hamburg, Germany in 2010, she obtained additional postdoctoral training in the Immunobiology and Endocrinology department at Yale, New Haven, where her research focused on diabetes.  She graduated from her residency training at Yale New Haven Health in 2016, and completed her endocrinology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard program in Boston in 2019 and received additional training at the Joslin diabetes Center focusing her research in insulin resistance, obesity and diabetes under the mentorship of Dr. Ronald C. Kahn. She is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology and obesity medicine.

She is currently the Course director of the endocrine pathophysiology course at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
