Dr. Ou serves as the Director of Informatics for the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine in the Care New England Health System, where her practice expertise centers on clinical informatics and women's oncologic pathology. As an award-winning educator, she serves as the Director of the Foundations Curriculum at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, as well as a Co-Vice Chair of Education for the Department of Pathology, where she is actively involved with learning design and faculty development. After receiving MD and PhD (Neuroscience) degrees from Vanderbilt University, she completed residency and fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by subspecialty fellowship training at Brown/Women & Infants Hospital of RI. With an ongoing focus on real-world implementation strategies for healthcare technology, she also completed a master's degree in clinical informatics management (MMCi) from Duke University School of Medicine. Her research and collaborations span gynecologic oncology, machine learning-driven analytics, user centered design, and the integration of AI tools in education.
