Overview

Jane C. Preotle, MD is the Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency, and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, Clinician Educator.

 

Dr. Preotle graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2006. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha society there. She then completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital (HAEMR program). Following residency, Dr. Preotle completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship through the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She joined the Brown EM faculty full time in 2013, splitting her time evenly between the pediatric ED at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the adult EDs at Rhode Island Hospital and the Miriam Hospital. Dr. Preotle was appointed Assistant Residency Director in September of 2014. She is the pediatric representative for RIACEP, and is on several CORD committees. She is director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine follow-up rotation.

 

Her academic focus is on graduate medical education, especially in pediatric emergency medicine.
