Joe Rabatin is a general internist. His research includes mentoring in academic medicine, burnout of physicians, workplace characteristics and their effects on performance, difficult encounters between doctors and patients, bedside teaching and emergency room use for non-urgent problems. His current roles are supporting student involvement in free clinics, planning research meetings and supporting faculty development
