Dr. Joshua M. Smith is a dedicated physiatrist at Brown University Health, who provides comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including osteoarthritis, stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spasticity, and various musculoskeletal issues. He also performs ultrasound guided and electrodiagnostic procedures. As a physiatrist, he utilizes a comprehensive approach to patient management, which focuses on utilizing a holistic view to improve patient function.
Dr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from Albany Medical College. He then went on to complete his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He is an active member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
