Dr. Jensy Stafford is the Associate Program Director of the Brown Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program and the co-director of the Arts and Ethics in Palliative Care course. She received her BA in English with a minor in Religion and her MD from Temple University. She initially came to Rhode Island for family medicine residency at Brown and completed her hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Harvard. She joined HopeHealth after graduating fellowship and has been a part of the Brown HPM faculty since the start of the fellowship in 2012. In addition to teaching and mentoring fellows, she works in the inpatient hospice setting and previously worked as an inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultant. Her interests include curriculum development, narrative medicine, medical humanities and bioethics. She particularly enjoys teaching communication through observation. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially baking, reading and being outdoors with her 4 young children.
