Jon Steingrimsson is a faculty member in biostatistics. Jon obtained his PhD in statistics from Cornell University and prior to joining Brown University he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Steingrimsson is interested in generalizing or transporting treatment effects or risk prediction models to a different population than was used for original treatment effect estimation or model development. He has also developed machine learning algorithms for risk prediction with censored data and for identifying treatment effect heterogeneity. Dr. Steingrimsson is an active member of the ECOG-ACRIN cancer research group.
