Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior


Karen Oliver, Ph.D. is the Track Coordinator for the Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology Internship and the Health Behavior Coordinator for Primary Care at the Providence VA Medical Center. She is a senior member of the Society of Behavioral Medicine's (SBM) Education, Training, and Career Development Council, the former Co-Chair of the SBM Evidence Based Behavioral Medicine Special Interest Group, and she was elected to SBM Fellowship Status in 2018. Her areas of expertise include health behavior change, integrated primary care, chronic disease management, and career development. She is also a Consulting Editor for the journal of Training and Education in Professional Psychology. Dr. Oliver provides clinical supervision to psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows in Primary Care Behavioral Health at the Providence VA Medical Center and career development mentorship and guidance for behavioral medicine trainees and early career faculty.
