Dr. Katherine Tezanos is a licensed clinical psychologist and an Assistant Professor (Research) at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Tezanos’ research interests include studying and improving the assessment and prediction of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in youth populations, and her current research is focused on using multiple units of analysis to develop a comprehensive characterization of child-caregiver conflict and its association with suicidal thoughts and behaviors in children.
She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed her clinical psychology residency in the Clinical Child Track at the Brown University Clinical Psychology Training Consortium, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship on the Suicide T32 in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
