Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

My clinical expertise includes providing recovery-oriented, evidence-based care to individuals with diagnoses of serious mental illness and dual diagnoses, as well as early identification and evidence-based interventions for young adults in the early stages of psychosis. I currently treat patients at the Rhode Island Hospital Adult Partial Hospital Program, where I also serve as coordinator for PHP postdoctoral fellows.

I earned my master of science degree in psychology at Binghamton University (State University of New York), and my doctor of philosophy degree in clinical psychology at University of Georgia. I then completed my clinical psychology internship at the Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System and my postdoctoral fellowship in psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery at Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center/The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

My research interests include emotion regulation, underpinnings of the stress-vulnerability model of psychosis development, and risk factors for psychosis.
