Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Lingyue Lu, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, as well as a Staff Psychologist at Bradley Hospital. She specializes in working with at-risk adolescents and families, with expertise in family-based interventions and the treatment of complex mood, trauma-related, and self-harm presentations. Dr. Lu provides individual and family psychotherapy and supervises psychiatry fellows, psychology residents, postdoctoral fellows, and practicum students across clinical settings. Her work emphasizes evidence-based approaches, including DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed care, with a strong focus on culturally responsive practice and underserved populations. She is actively involved in teaching, supervision, and community engagement initiatives aimed at expanding access to effective mental health care for diverse families.
