Overview

Laura Mayer, MD, is an attending psychiatrist at the Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital Center for Women's Behavioral Health. She received her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she was part of the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME). She completed a residency in general adult psychiatry at Boston University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in her last year, and completed her fellowship training at Women and Infants/Brown University in June 2019. Dr. Mayer’s primary interests include perinatal mental health, infertility, perinatal loss, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and medical education. She will soon be initiating a new subspeciality clinic in Women's Behavioral health for Perimenopausal/Menopausal women.
