Dr. Pisharodi is Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University, and Director of Cytopathology for Lifespan Laboratories and Women and Infants' Hospital. She is also on the faculty of the University of Rhode Island in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, and is the Medical Director of the Rhode Island School of Cytotechnology.  Dr. Pisharodi obtained her BS from the University of Calicut, her MS in Pathology from the University of North Carolina, and her MD from the University of Kerala. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and her fellowship in cytopathology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.  She has particular interests in fine needle aspiration and the value of molecular testing in cytopathology.

Dr. Pisharodi has particular interests in fine needle aspiration and the value of molecular testing in cytopathology.  Dr. Pisharodi is also the Rhode Island lead on the See Test and Treat Program of the College of American Pathologists, and has obtained CAP funding for a See Test and Treat clinic at Rhode Island Hospital in both 2013 and 2014.
