Dr. Larry Warner is the Chief Impact and Equity Officer at United Way of Rhode Island, where he oversees the organization’s grantmaking, 211 call center, research and data analytics, policy and advocacy, and senior and disability services. Prior to United Way, he was the Strategic Initiative Officer for Health at the Rhode Island Foundation. He is chair of the Governor's Council on Behavioral Health, and has served on Rhode Island's COVID-19 Equity Council and as co-chair of the Rhode Island Commission for Health Advocacy and Equity. He is president-elect of the Rhode Island Public Health Association, a board member of the Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island, and serves on the planning committee of Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island.
Dr. Warner earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Society and a Master of Public Health degree from Brown University. He earned a Doctor of Public Health degree from The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health with a concentration in Health Equity and Social Justice. His research and practice focuses on the implementation and evaluation of strategies to reduce health disparities and advance health equity.
