Lecturer in Economics

Overview

Manuel Lancastre is a lecturer in Economics at Brown University. He has held teaching positions at Boston College Carroll School of Management, and the University of Lisbon Technical Institute. He has over 30 years of consulting, management, entrepreneurial and academic experience, combined with a relevant political curriculum. He served as Secretary of State of Economy in the Government of Portugal, and as Head of Mission for the Reform of the Portuguese Public Administration. He was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. He served as CEO, Executive Board member, and other advisory roles in publicly listed companies. He has been an entrepreneur and investor in renewable energies and biofuels sectors. Manuel holds a PhD in Economics, a Master of Business and Administration - MBA from INSEAD, and an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Manuel is married and has 5 children.
