Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior

Overview

Dana B. Morris, PhD, is a licensed psychologist at Rhode Island Hospital's Adult Partial Hospital Program where she provides acceptance and mindfulness based therapies to adults experiencing a wide range of acute psychiatric symptoms. Dr. Morris also serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) coordinator for the Partial Hospital Program

She received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Division.

Dr. Morris completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University through the Providence VA in general mental health where she focused on providing acceptance-based therapies to a diverse range of presenting problems as well as treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and couple's therapy. 

Her research interests include transdiagnostic factors, quality improvement, and clinical behavior analysis.
